摘要：Disclosed are automatic dryer added fabric conditioning articles and methodsutilizing fabric conditioning compositions comprising from about 20 percent to about 80percent by weight of a mixture of quaternary ammonium compounds, and between about80 percent to about 20 percent by weight of a mixture of glycerin and glyceryl esters,wherein the fabric conditioning compositions possess a melting point of about 30° C. toabout 65° C. The conditioning compositions of the present invention are preferablyemployed in combination with a dispensing means adapted for use in an automaticclothes dryer. The fabric conditioning compositions may be coated onto substrates, andthe fabric conditioning articles thereby obtained used to impart softness and anti-staticproperties to fabric. The method portion of the invention involves the commingling ofdamp fabrics with the fabric conditioning compositions in an automatic clothes dryer toimpart softness and anti-static properties to the fabric. The compositions of thisinvention, when coated onto substrates are mechanically and thermally stable and thusare not dislodged or prematurely released when substrate is flexed, twisted and/orstored at room temperature.
