Playing with phones in class is a common phenomenon in today's university classrooms. Many students cannot resist the temptation of checking their phones for messages, social media updates, or even playing games during lectures. I, too, have been guilty of this behavior in the past.

I remember one particular incident when I was in a history class. The professor was lecturing about the World War II, and I found myself getting bored. Without even realizing it, I took out my phone and started scrolling through my social media feed. I was so engrossed in the latest posts that I completely tuned out the professor's lecture. When the class ended, I realized that I had missed out on important information and felt guilty for not paying attention.

I know that using phones in class is disrespectful to

the professor and disruptive to other students. It not only affects my own learning, but also creates a distraction for those around me. I have come to realize that it is

important to be fully present in class and to show respect for the professor and my fellow classmates.
